Originally from Florida my interest in photography started while serving in the US Navy and continued during my college and corporate career. After 25 years with IBM I took an early retirement in order to travel the US and Canada. My travels have allowed me to hone my photographic skills while photographing many interesting places from Key West to Maine, Calgary to Vancouver Canada, Florida to New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, Alaska, Columbia, Costa Rica and many other wonderful places in these great countries and many of the islands in the Caribbean.
I now call North Carolina home. I display and sell my photographs exclusively at Piedmont Pottery Gallery in Fuquay Varina, NC, where I also teach photography classes (which have been suspended since covid) and individual one on one instruction, online and in person. I also play keyboards (Piano, Organ, & Electronic Keyboard Instruments) and have played professionally in several NC bands in addition to being principal keyboardist in bands in Florida and Ohio over the years. I jam with a group of local musicians on a regular basis.
I love North Carolina for all the photographic opportunities that it provides. The Blue Ridge Parkway and the Outer Banks are two of my favorites places to go searching for that next great location and the perfect light.
